Brooke Pakistan and Livestock Department Punjab organized a Seminar on World Animal Day. Provincial Minister of Livestock and Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani attended the event as a special guest. Secretary Livestock Punjab Saqib Ali Ateel and Acting CEO Brooke Pakistan Dr. Javed Gondal also graced the occasion. Moreover, the Girl Guides Associations and Animal Welfare Associations also joined. Syed Naeem Abbas, Dr. Gulshad Ahmed, and others spoke at the occasion.
Discussion at World Animal Day Seminar
Provincial Livestock Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani appreciated the initiatives of the Livestock Department and Broke Pakistan for working animals’ health and their rights. On this occasion, he further said that for the first time in history, the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has allocated a fund of 20 billion rupees for the health of animals. This will improve the health of animals along with the development of the livestock sector.
Secretary Livestock Saqib Ali Ateel also addressed. He highlighted the World Animal Day Them 2024. He said that we should work for animal rights and their welfare. Further he said that the Livestock Department is working on animal nutrition, treatment, and provision of medicines with a better environment.

Various private organizations working for animal rights also participated in the event. Syed Naeem Abbas highlighted the importance of the day. He also highlighted the economic importance of animal welfare and health. Pakistan Girl Guides Association presented a special documentary of their work on animal welfare.
At the end of the ceremony, Acting CEO Brooke PakistanDr. Javed Gondal thanked the guests. He said that Brook teams are celebrating World Animal Day in forty-two different districts.
