Green turtles released at Hawkes bay by Bilawal Bhutto

Bilawal Bhutto, Bakhtawar release 300 green turtles at Hawkes bay Beach. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his sister Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari released green turtle hatchlings rescued at Hawkes Bay into the sea. According to a spokesperson for Sindh Wildlife, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari released a large number of green turtle hatchlings rescued at Hawkes Bay into the sea.

According to the spokesperson, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh on Wildlife Nasir Hussain Shah told Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that Sindh Wildlife has been engaged in the protection of sea turtles for the last 34 years and for this reason he was also awarded the country’s first Presidential Medal.

According to a spokesperson for Sindh Wildlife, every year in the month of October, a large number of female green turtles reach the sandy beaches of Hawkes Bay and Sandspit and after laying their eggs, they bury them in the sea sand. Sindh Wildlife staff takes full care of these eggs for 40 to 60 days and later the hatchlings are released into the sea.
