Artificial dairy drinks are not a substitute for milk, Punjab Food Authority has imposed a complete ban on dairy drinks made in the name of flavored milk. The ban will apply to all flavored dairy drink products. DG PFA said that the deadline for companies to eliminate the last stock has been issued for ban on flavoured dairy drinks.

The ban has been imposed after a thorough research by the scientific panel. Children drink dairy drinks sold in the name of flavored milk, mistaking them for milk. Dairy drinks are made by adding artificial ingredients after removing healthy fat and cream from milk. Selling dairy drinks as milk is a complete fraud.

There will be a complete ban on the manufacture, storage and sale of dairy drinks. Products that do not follow the instructions after the business adjustment time will be destroyed on the spot. Instructions have been issued to all companies under the Punjab Food Authority Act 2011. DG Food Authority Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman says that the public should minimize the consumption of artificial and marketed products by children.
