Gojra Vet Forum Annual Get-together
Gojra Vet Forum organized its Annual Ceremony in Faisalabad for Gojra Vets. Additional Secretary Livestock Dr. Asim Janjua, Dean Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Arid University Rawalpindi Prof. Dr. Irfan Yusuf, Dr. Wajid Arshad Khan, and Dr. Abdul Rehman participated. Moreover, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Gill, Dr. Sheikh Fiaz, Dr. Rana Yusuf and Dr. Ahsan joined. Dr. Atiq Chishti, Dr. Arshad Randhawa, Dr. Kashif Shahzad, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Zia ur Rehman and other veterinary professionals from Gujra also graced the ceremony.
On this occasion, it was said that while Gojra is famous for hockey and handicrafts, this Tehsil also has a distinct position in terms of literacy rate. This Tehsil of district Toba Tek Singh has the honor of being the second largest literate Tehsil in Pakistan. Moreover, the educated people of this Tehsil are serving not only in Pakistan but also in many countries of the world.
It was further informed that this Tehsil has a unique position in terms of veterinary education. More than two hundred individuals of this small Tehsil are involved in the veterinary profession. Furthermore, these veterinary professionals are serving in education, research, poultry production, feed production, dairy production, corporate dairy farming, marketing, veterinary practice, veterinary surgery, and other fields as well.
Moreover, Gojra vets have also headed various educational, research, and administrative government institutions. Even at this time, vets of this city are performing duties in various administrative positions. Furthermore, Gujra veterinary professionals are associated with various fields in America, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and different countries in the Middle East.
