Reasons for Dinosaur Extinction
Dinosaur extinction occurred approximately 66 million years ago. This extinction occurred due to a combination of catastrophic events and environmental changes. The main cause of the dinosaur extinction was the massive asteroid impact. This impact created the Chicxulub Crater on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. Moreover, this impact caused the mass extinction that wiped out the dinosaurs.
Another reason was extensive volcanic eruptions in the Deccan Traps region. These volcanic eruptions released vast amounts of lava, sulfur dioxide, and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
