Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital
Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital, the largest Veterinary Hospital for falcons. The world’s largest hospital has been set up in Abu Dhabi to treat the beloved and most expensive birds of prey of Arab sheikhs. Margaret Miller, a German doctor and hospital director who has been treating these birds of prey for the past 25 years, said that these are their children and they want the best for them.
She said that sometimes when these birds of prey have an accident at night, their Arab owners sit with them for several hours until morning. It should be noted that these birds of prey are more than pets for Arabs and raising them is more than a game.
It should be noted that in Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, raising falcons is part of their desert heritage, which has been practiced for several thousand years. The hospital director said that the Bedouins (the name given to Arabs living in the desert) hunt these birds of prey for meat, and this is considered extremely important for the survival of these Bedouin families.
