Dr. Sher Nadir Khan acknowledged the International Standard of CEBG Renala.
Embryo Transfer Expert and Internationally renowned theriogenologist Dr. Sher Nadir Khan visited the Center of Excellence for Bovine Genetics – CEBG Renala. He visited the bovine semen processing and embryo production laboratories of CEBG and expressed happiness over their quality. He especially appreciated the quality of the semen processing lab and termed it as an international standard laboratory. Commandant CEBG Renala briefed about the Unit.
He said that the semen produced by the CEBG laboratory is no less than the semen produced in any developed country in terms of quality. He said that we should immediately stop the local, substandard semen which is harming the future generations of farmers’ animals as well as the country’s economy. Dr. Sher Nadir Khan further said that we should increase the trend of using high-quality semen of CEBG Renala instead of importing semen so that the animal breed can be improved.

Commandant CEBG Brig Muhammad Ali Raza briefed Dr. Sher Nadir about the unit and informed him that CEBG is at the forefront of serving farmers. The staff here is working day and night for the betterment of this institution so that the country’s economy can be improved through the development of the livestock sector.

About Theriogenologist Dr. Sher Nadir Khan
Embryo Transfer Expert Dr. Sher Nadir completed his DVM from UVAS Lahore in 1984 and his MSc (Hons) in 1986. He went to the US for higher education where he obtained his MS in Theriogenology in 1992 and PhD in Theriogenology in 1995. Later, he worked as a research associate at the CREATE Lab of the Veterinary Medical School of Virginia (USA) for two years. After that, he served for nine years at the Bull Stud Farm in Montana (USA).
Dr. Sher Nadir also worked as a reproductive technology manager for GENE-X in Wisconsin (USA) and provided embryo production and embryo transfer services. In 2013, he became a member of the American Embryo Transfer Association. Since 2017, he has been providing his services through the establishment of an Artificial Insemination Center and Embryo Transfer Center in Pakistan.
