DG GCLI called on Minister Livestock and Chief Secretary Punjab

DG GCLI Maj Gen (R) Shahid Mehmood called on Minister Livestock Punjab and Chief Secretary Punjab. Besides Meeting with Minister Livestock and Secretary Livestock, Maj Gen Shahid Mehmood also called on Secretary Fisheries Punjab and MD Fouji Foods Lt Gen (R) Ali Amir Awan. Moreover, Dairy Farmers also visited Lahore to meet DG Green Corporate Livestock Initiative.

The meetings focused on the GRIDD Project and different initiatives of SIFC regarding livestock and dairy development. They also discussed various aspects of Disease Control Compartments and Livestock Breeding including sexed semen technology and IVF technology. Moreover, they focused on vaccine production.

Livestock farmers discussed different issues regarding farmers and the dairy sector. They especially highlighted the impacts of taxation on the dairy sector. In a meeting, with Secretary Fisheries, the focus was on Shrimp Farming Projects in Punjab.
