Demands at PPDL Expo 2019
During the expo, the leadership of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association raised critical economic demands directed at federal and provincial authorities to safeguard local infrastructure.
They strongly demanded an absolute ban on the massive import and dumping of substandard, low-quality skimmed milk powder that cripples local dairy farmers.
The association urged the Government of Sindh to urgently provide dedicated land and adequate financial resources to manage the sustainable recycling/rearing of high-yield milch buffaloes instead of allowing them to be prematurely slaughtered.
They fiercely criticized artificial price caps on fresh milk, demanding that the government either remove the retail price cap entirely to allow free market competition or immediately fix official rates strictly in accordance with the farmers’ actual cost of production.

The event brought together international and domestic corporate players, veterinary scientists, feed manufacturers, and vaccine providers. Leading corporate names mentioned include ICI Pakistan, ICI Livestock, Solvet, and SMK Feeds, all participating to network and provide technological packages to local smallholders.
