Horse Shoes and horse shoeing. Shoe for horse is a special covering to protect the hoof of horse. History says, earlier hooves of working animals were wrapped in leather or raw hide. Later on different material came in use for the protection. Skilled man who put shoes on horse is called farrier and this craft is called furriery. In Pakistan, this skill is adopted by lay men while in developed countries there are specialized courses for this art. These professionals are expert in the protection of of hoof besides the shoeing.
